Algae AI Hub is a data- and AI-driven initiative focused on unlocking the full potential of algae and seaweed for industry, investors and public stakeholders. Our ambition is to turn fragmented scientific knowledge into clear, evidence-based options for products, business models and policy.

We use artificial intelligence and high-performance computing to systematically analyse research papers, patents and lab data across the global algae ecosystem. This allows us to benchmark strains and processes, identify high-value applications – from bioactives and pigments to biomaterials and climate solutions – and support partners in making better R&D, investment and funding decisions.

In our projects, we work with ingredient manufacturers, algae and seaweed companies, corporates in food, cosmetics and materials, as well as universities and public institutions. Together, we design use cases, structure consortia and prepare applications for public funding programmes such as Horizon Europe and national innovation schemes.

To scale our impact, we are building a network of strategic investors and public funding partners and are open to speaking engagements and advisory or board roles in algae- and seaweed-related initiatives. Our goal is to help shape a scientifically robust, commercially viable and truly sustainable algae industry in Europe and beyond.
